Do you want to develop the knowledge and skills required to take a person-centred approach in remote consultations? This session will support you to do this by:
- Exploring the unique challenges and benefits of conducting asthma consultations remotely, including key considerations for patient assessment and management
- Exploring effective communication strategies tailored for remote asthma consultations, emphasising clear instructions, active listening, and patient engagement techniques.
- Discussing how to conduct a comprehensive remote asthma assessment formulating individualised management plans, while ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical guidelines.
Enhancing Diabetes Management: Strategies for Medicine Optimisation – 28th August
Delve into adopting a medicines optimisation strategy in diabetes through analysis of a range of case studies and scenarios, and learn to:

- Understand the Basics of MART and Therapy:
- Explain the principles and rationale behind MART for asthma management.
- Identify the components and medications involved in MART therapy.

Mastering Spirometry Reporting: A Comprehensive Guide for Healthcare Professionals – 10th September
Focusing on integrating spirometry results with other clinical findings to develop comprehensive treatment plans, this session will use case studies and scenarios to support learners to:
Understand the Fundamentals of Spirometry:
- Describe the basic principles and purpose of spirometry in assessing lung function.
- Identify the key measurements and indices obtained from spirometry tests (e.g., FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio)
- Apply spirometry results in the diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions such as Asthma and COPD.
Understanding Insulin Regimes – 26th September
This face-paced, interactive session will explore:
- The role of insulin in managing diabetes in adults
- Types of insulin preparations, and when each is used
- Safe use of insulin pen devices
- Resources and support available for healthcare professionals to ensure continued best practice

Each Masterclass will last 60 minutes in total, with dedicated time for questions at the end.
